Big Brothers Big Sisters of Crawford County is a non-profit organization that is assists with children with daily activities and opportunities for youth developmental growth. This organization was my client for a connecting college class, Strategic Planning and Campaign. Big Brothers Big Sisters Strategic Plan
The Spring 2022 Strategic Planning Class, Department of Communication, Pittsburg State University has developed a strategic plan for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Kansas (BBBS SEK) to improve outreach, engagement, and retention. The project conducted research evaluating internal and external stakeholders. These included volunteers (BIGS), donors (enablers), youth enrollments (customer), community leadership (producers), staff (producers), and board of directors (enablers). The mixed methods of research included qualitative content analysis of message dissemination, comparative analysis of BBBS social media pages, and survey distribution post-treatment of an BBBS recruitment event.
"The Great Axepectations" A Big Brothers Big Sisters Event
Working with the organization of BBBS, an event that was hosted for the public was created with a local entertainment/leisure company in an attempt to gain audience awareness and engagement for the organization. This event required some market analysis, event planning procedures, and participant analysis post event.
